HGS has provided auditing services and corrective action assistance for the United States Forest Eastern Region Office since 2014. Under an initial contract, HGS provided assistance for six (6) units. HGS provided teams of auditors to perform an initial environmental assessment for the forest unit. HGS then worked with the Forest Service to identify follow-up corrective action assistance based on the compliance review. HGS offered a variety of services including DOT, RCRA, ACM, lead, CERCLA & SPCC training as well as plan development for O&Ms and SPCCs. HGS was awarded a five year blanket purchase agreement to continue these services in 2016.
Since 2012, HGS has supported the Defense Logistics Agency-Disposition Services by providing inspection and assessment services for hazardous waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs) and down-stream buyers of hazardous materials. The inspection report is used to determine if the impacted facility is qualified to receive DoD generated hazardous waste or material. From 2012-2014 HGS operated under competitively bid, single task order-single award contracts. HGS was awarded a five (5) year Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA) in 2015 for continued inspection services.
In September 2014, HGS Engineering was awarded an Environmental Services Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) by the US Army Corps of Engineers-Kansas City District. This five year contract vehicle is designed to support USACE Projects and Customers in the Northwest District (NWD) Area of Responsibility.
In May 2014, HGS Engineering was awarded a five year contract to provide health and safety inspections to the Department of Labor Job Corps Training Program. This contract includes assessments of 125 facilities throughout the US and Puerto Rico on an annual basis.
On January 2, 2013, HGS was awarded a 5-yr contract with the DEA to provide Environmental Management System Support. In these efforts HGS provides 5 full-time support personnel, including the energy program manager, at the DEA Headquarters in Arlington, VA. This contract includes design, implementation and maintenance of the EMS as well as associated compliance efforts.
